Day 2

A good day of riding with a nice little tailwind for the first half of the ride. Two days in, and I’m already starting to notice some trends. Yesterday was the dogs. I’m pleased to report that the canine count was down to 4 today and 3 of those were pretty half-hearted efforts. But today it was the cows. First there was a brief stare-down with about a half dozen in a pasture that clearly had never seen anyone so stupid. As I continued to ride past, all of a sudden they started running along the fence line “chasing” me. I looked over again and noticed that ALL the cows in the pasture were running - probably about 30 in all. Fortunately for me, they didn’t seem to move nearly as quickly or viciously as the dogs and they didn’t seem interested in trying to bust down their fence. After about a quarter mile, they gave it up.
I‘ve now completed riding in 2 states - 46 to go. I’ll be in Oklahoma the next two days. I have a difficult day on tap for Wednesday with some decent hills, long mileage and apparently some thunderstorms on tap as well.

I believe they're called Moo-Doggies down there.....
Is this going to be a Far Side?
